Our
show at Lucille's Rockin' Pianos is truly unique. Step into Lucille's and the
first thing to grab your attention is the well lit stage with two beautiful
grand pianos. Two talented entertainers take the stage together and take turns
singing familiar tunes. Our show is request driven, so grab a stack of request
forms and a pencil (available at your table and on the pianos) and write down
your favorite songs. But if you want to know what to request, just look at the
middle word in our name - "Rockin'." Lucille's is not a passive experience. Our
entertainers deliver a high energy, interactive, comedic musical experience all
night long and our guests sing along so loudly they even surprise themselves.
In addition to classic and newer rock and roll, we play some country, our
famous "social" drinking songs, and maybe even a little rap music. Oh yes, rap has gone mainstream!

When you begin to think there isn't a song these guys don't know, it's time to bring a special guest on stage for a good natured, adult humor-themed musical roast. Pay attention or you'll miss a song that is so funny you'll cough beer through your nose! Then it is back to the rockin'! When you think you've seen it all, our incredible wait staff joins in on stage and on the bar for "Showtime." Then, one of our multi-talented entertainers will jump up on the drums as we perform a transition tune, with three or four part vocal harmony and voila! A new team has taken the stage to entertain you for another hour! It
is nonstop fun and live music till close at Lucille's.

The
dueling piano bar concept has it's roots in sing along piano bars reminiscent
of Irish pubs. Pat O'Brien's in New Orleans is generally credited with being
the first piano bar to successfully incorporate two grand pianos on stage
played simultaneously, while the entertainers sang popular songs of the day
(1930s or so). In the late 1980s, forward looking entrepreneurs decided to try
the concept in Dallas, Texas and opened "Alleycats." It was there that the
modern concept of dueling pianos was born. Our song list grows each year as we
hear more good music to add to our concept, but two people singing and playing
grand pianos while having a great time with the audience is what separates the
dueling piano show from other forms of entertainment.
Since its' quiet beginnings in New Orleans and later Dallas, dueling piano bars
have successfully opened in such cities as Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Orlando, Las
Vegas, Reno, San Diego, Portland Or., Seattle, Phoenix, Indianapolis, Los
Angles and Denver just to name a few. Most major metropolitan areas have a
dueling piano bar as do many smaller secondary markets and college towns.
